Default '14 ordered, delivery on Sept. 8th

I ordered my '14 Durango on Aug. 9 and was notified it's being delivered on Sept. 8. I was surprised how fast it's getting delivered specially since I live in California. I got it for 3% under invoice which I feel is decent. Anyway, counting down the days now. Here's what I got:

Citadel AWD 3.6L
Sandstone Pearl Coat
Black/Tan interior
Second-row Captain’s Chairs
Trailer Tow Group
Technology Group

Awesome!!! Congrats. Can't wait to see some pictures. This is gonna be the longest couple of weeks for you. How were you able to negotiate below invoice pricing on the 2014?

Indeed waiting is hard but the hunt is as fun as the kill. My company offers the Chrysler Affiliate program which gets you 1% under invoice and after few emails to dealers I got one down to 3%. I saw someone else get 5% under. Pics when it comes in for sure.

You've got to be wild with anticipation. Congrats. Also a great price and a nice benefit from your company. I'm picking up my 13 R/T on Saturday and I cannot wait. Dealers here have ordered their 2014 stock already so the 14's will be on the road soon!

I wouldn't put too much faith in those estimated delivery dates. I can track any Chrysler vehicle from build to delivery and very few make it by the estimated delivery date set forth when it hits D1....especially in Cali. It could make it though! Not trying to rain on your parade...just being honest.

Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately I'm not in a bind so I can wait it out. This is my first Dodge and I hope I'll have a better experience than the last 4 new cars I bought. Mercedes, Ford and Hondas all plagued me with multiple problems right from the start. Looking forward to breaking that trend, fingers crossed. I really gotta stop buying cars the 1st month they're introduced.

I was gonna say... You're pretty much taking one of the first Durangos off the line with a major new powertrain component. Brave.

Curious which of the 3 brands you mentioned gave you the most trouble?

Tough one, they all had about 10 dealer visits each in the first few months. I'd have to say the ML430 had the worst issues.

My order is similar...different color (Crystal Granite with Light frost beige interior), but I added the second row console and the rear DVD / Blu-Ray.

Unfortunately for me, it looks like they won't start producing units with the DVD until at least Sept 17th. I'm hoping that date holds true and there are no further delays so maybe I could end up with delivery by Halloween.

In the mean time...I'll just keep driving my 190K miles '02 Pontiac Montana with nearly bald tires, lower front air deflector that's nearly fallen off, check engine light on (O2 sensor), water leak in the back...come on baby...hold together...
