Newbie with pricing questions
Hello everybody. I have been looking for a Durango for a while and have finally gotten to the point where I am ready to make a move.
There are 2 different ones I am looking at.
One is new. 2013 RT, Grey, Leather, Tow, Nav, Sunroof. Sticker is $44815. They have it listed on their website at $34613. I assume it has every incentive figured in there, even if they aren't all usable. What would a realistic price for me to expect to pay? What have others paid recently.
The other is a 2012 RT, same color and options, 15k miles, Certified. It is listed at $32,894. I figure they would still deal off of that price.
I would prefer new, but the 12 is certified. If the new one ends up being closer to $37-38k, the used one makes a lot more sense to me, as long as it is in good shape.
I am just looking for opinions on what would be a good deal on either.
Thanks
Ryan

the $44800 come out $38.5 if you are not a recent college, military other company lease discount.
The 12 will have only 20 k of warranty and you will need to spend another 2500 to bring it up to 7 yr 100000 miles. They should move to about $31,000. I was just in your shoes and went new 2013 after I bought the 12 but hadn't signed for it yet.
$511 a month for 7 years 2.9% $34,400 out the door, no $$ down I added the 7 year /100k for $2500 on top of the $34,400.
Borrow more $$ you will need it for the mods.
Best of luck.

I bought my 13 R/T this past February, sticker was 45,102.00, I paid 36,995.00 out the door. added the Mopar Premium extended warranty 6yrs / 60K mile warranty for 715.00 cash.
I would spend the extra and get new!

They cant include the military, college, other lease rebates on their website since not everyone hs the chance to do that. however some dealers say if you finance through them they will give you like an extra discount. be aware their rates are usually ALOT higher than what you can get them for in a CU.
Thanks for the responses and info.
Just wanted to make sure when you say "out the door", are you including taxes and fees as well?
Thanks again.
Ryan
Thanks again.

Ryan, I got $6k off my '13 Crew a month ago which stickered for $37.3k. That was only with the $2,500 rebate. Dealer provided the remaining $3,500 discount.
Another dealer we looked at was only offering about $4k off a $34.5k SXT.
I saw an R/T at the dealer I bought from in the MSRP range you're looking at that was listed at $8k off, presumably only with the $2,500 rebate. Realistically I think you'll have done well to get $7k off yours. So about $37.8k before tax, title, dealer fee, etc.

Hey Ryan, sorry about that, I traded in my 07 Tahoe LS for 20K so I financed the difference for 3.9% which I had to haggle with them over. So taxes were on 17K x 6% when I returned back to PA from MD.
I have been looking at the 2013 R/T as well. Would definitely go new with an R/T, no telling how the previous owner drove it. I was almost dead set on a 2013, but I am going to go ahead and wait for the 2014s. Not much price difference and way better electronics inside and the 8 speed transmission looks like a winner.
