Finally called Dodge customer care. Have a case number and everything. They had refilled the tank, and its already dropping level. Coolant all over the engine bay. Not sure what their solution will be, but if this sticks around, might be time to lemon it. I love my Durango, but can't risk this being a long term problem.
Leaking water pump or thermostat housing.
Had mine replaced after few thousand miles

Already did this, if you read original post. It's beyond that now.

Hard to believe you're losing a tank of coolant a month and it's not obvious where it's going. It should either be smoking like crazy or coolant all over the garage floor in the morning.

In my Explorer coolant was seeping out the head gasket and down the side of the block then burning off, causing the smell. But that was more like a pint a month or so.

As you can tell, I am parked on a hill, but this is the level change in 300 miles since 08/30/13.

This is below the engine today:

This was before the rain wiped out the existing coolant:

Oil is showing up in my air filter. Took off my oil filler cap, and smells like gas is in it. I think my engine is broken. I love my Durango, and hope Dodge does the right thing. It may be time for a new Durango.

Sounds to me like a poorly installed cylinder head with a bad or damaged gasket. The coolant leaking from the head could have damage a cylinder and/or cylinder ring which now is now allowing large amounts of fuel to seep into your oil. I can't be certain since I don't have your truck in front of me, but given what you've described that's where I'd look next.

And don't assume all the coolant you're dumping is coming leaking out. In the mean time I'd keep an eye on the consistency of my oil if I were you. If it starts to get frothy you may be getting coolant in the crankcase as well.

At the dealership now. Compression came back at 180 across the board. Still no clue what is happening. Anyone have any experience explains to a dealership that they need to fix a problem?

Talk about a company that doesn't back their product or care about their customers. Apparently there is no fix. Either I can live with it, or trade it in for $10,000 under what I paid. So what they are saying is that it's broke , but tough ****. Guess its time to get a lawyer involved. Will not be buying from Chrsyler Motor Group anymore.

The dealership seriously tried to tell you that? Assuming that's the case, you have a dealership problem, not a Chrysler problem. Do they not understand what a warranty is, or how it works? I would have been on the horn with customer care raising hell while standing smack in the middle of their showroom.

I've never had a problem dealing with Chrysler, but I did have plenty of problems with the Assistant Service Manager at one dealership. The douche even gave the woman from Customer Care a hard time.

I am at a complete loss of words for what happened today. We arrived at the dealership at 8:30AM hoping for a resolution. They tested compression, and it looked within spec. Couldn't fi d the leak externally, so said it must me internal.
No one knows what's wrong, including Dodge. They tried to escalate it through the Dodge Star program, but that was down. After having spent over 14 days in the shop, and still no one knows the problem, we decided to put our foot down. Our Dodge Customer Care rep says "what do you want to resolve this." We explai. We need a replacement vehicle. So what does she do? She calls our dealership and tells them we want to trade in our vehicle. This puts the car at trade in value, which means we would need new financing to cover the additional $7,000. We explain that we don't want to trade it in, we want a replacement. This is where things really go downhill. She states that Dodge doesn't do buy backs or replacements, and my only option is to trade it in. Why would I trade in on another Dodge with customer support like this?!? Not even that, we had the car appraised at CarMax and they offered $2k more. Could be the dealership knows there is a problem with it. So all said and do e we are waiting to see what other lies Dodge has up their sleeves. I am not saying all Dodges are bad, by I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, because if you do have a problem, tough ****.
