Default How do I get a several TSB updates done?

I have been less than pleased with the klunkiness, premature upshifts and overall performance on my 2012 Hemi AWD Citadel. Though it has more horsepower than my 2005 Hemi Durango, you'd never know it by the performance. I've seen several TSB's which sound like they could help (21-003-13, 21-004-14, and 21-006-13). Has anyone had luck going to their dealer and just flat out asking they be done, or are they expecting you complain about the issues and then have them decide which if any to perform?

Too bad they're not set up to hook your vehicle to their computer so it can apply any applicable updates that have not previously been installed.

Anyway - what's the best approach?

I print out the tsb take it it and tell them my vehicle is doing exactly what the tsb describes. They have always taken care of it for me. Seems stealerships like to bluff those that are easily bluffed. If you know what you are talking about seems the service is better. ...

I have had good luck with describing the issue(s) as written in the TSB to my service writer and then ask to check for TSBs. So far it has worked. However I think I found a good service writer and dealership that wants to fix the problem(s) and make me a satisfied customer. I try to refrain from shoving the TSB in the service writers face and let him do his job. So far he has and I have had 3 TSB service related issues and a star case. One time I was in for and oil change and I asked the service writer to check for any TSBs even though at the time I was not experiencing any issues and there was one available to improve drivability. I am pretty sure the dealership is equipped the check your VIN and look for updates and TSBs

I have not had any TSBs done on mine yet. When I asked the dealer about them, I was strongly discouraged from getting them done unless it was a major problem. I was going away so didn't press it, but I will definitely get them done before the warranty expires.

The techs are to look up TSB for related problem and if they can verify there is a problem and there isn't a TSB for the concern yet. Then the tech is to start a star case. But if you need a copy of a TSB, just let me know. And yes the writer will ask the tech if there are any TSB's. I would ask the writer if the owner wants to have any updates done, even if there isn't a problem.

I took my Durango in yesterday and handed them three TSB's right after they "were not" sure that there was anything wrong with the truck. Once I pulled them out they had a different song and dance!

I went here for the TSB list. http://wk2jeeps.com/wk2_tsb.htm#NEW
