Here is the first pictures of a 2014 Durango citadel

One reason why I opted for a 2014 instead of saving the money and going for a 2013 closeout...I'm hoping the modern 8 Speed tranny will help with the responsiveness of the Durango when strapped with the V-6.
I test drove a 2014 grand Cherokee vs. a 2013, and there was a marked difference. I'm hoping that carries over to the heavier Durango.

Uhhh, what? How does the D have clearly less than 210 hp? That old Explorer had 9% more weight per horsepower to move around. And that was the upgraded engine. The base Explorer was still at 160 hp.

My bad, I misinterpreted your #'s . anyway the Explorer didn't cost ~$50k, which is the price point I'm complaining about. If you had bought THAT explorer @ $50k during that time period, I'm sure you wouldn't be very happy. As I had mentioned, the performance that I'm getting @ ~$30k, which I had bought it at, is tolerable but I wouldn't be happy at the $50k price point.

Just shows how public perception changes over time. My Focus has 160 hp. I think my '91 Mustang 4-banger had like 105 hp and couldn't have been much lighter.
Same with house sizes. Just keep going up and up. If I went back to the 1500 ft2 ranch I grew up in with 7.5 ft ceilings I'd probably get clausterphobic real quick...
