I heard it from my trailer guy. He had a new Ram in and the customer was not happy when he found out that the electric brake controller he bought would no longer work with the new wiring.

Do I understand correctly that you're kinda screwed if one of those 192 LEDs in the "racetrack" goes out?

I believe the tail lights are a sealed bulb unit supposed to last forever.
I have heard that before

I saw one reference on another forum that if 1 bulb goes out (causing a dark spot on the racetrack I guess?) you have to replace the entire assembly to the tune of hundreds of dollars. Maybe the adjacent lights cover the bad bulb's area and it's just a slightly dim dot? I don't know.

Coming from owning mostly German vehicles (and Corvettes) , the price of parts for the Durango make replacing the entire bulb feasible. I recently had some body work done and to replace the entire plastic lower part of the rear bumper was $150 in parts. That's the aspect that I love most about owning this vehicle so far.

I just called the service dept of the largest SoCal Dodge dealer. The rep pretty much said it would be more cost effective to trade the 2013 in for a 2014 if I wanted to get the headlights. He says the official method for swapping all related parts and electronics would far surpass the tradein route. That's a huge bummer.

I'm sure thats a pretty generic answer. "Never say never", till you see the price!

So......how much have you made in payments? On top of that how much interest have you paid to date? If you paid cash for your ride what did the sales tax cost you?

C'mon man. Don't listen to someone like that. They don't have a clue! lol

I agree with most of you. I would love the tail lights of the '14 on my '13. The headlights would be nice too. Actually I would think the headlights would swap pretty easy, but the tails look much more difficult.
