Just ordered the Viper rep's 22x9. Still unsure about the tire size. Come on guys what's the best choice here 285 or 265? 40's or 45's. Lol. Want a comfortable ride and a tire that will last. But something that also fills in the wheel well without looking like off-road either. Any suggestions. Thanx

First number/24.5=WIDTH ACROSS TREAD So 275/24.5= 11.22" wide
Take that number X the aspect ratio: 11.22 X .40=4.49
That is sidewall height so 4.49 X 2 + Rim diameter = rolling height
4.49 X 2 = 8.98 + 22 = 30.98"
so 11.22 wide X 30.98 high

Take a pic straight on CMIL of you dropping a string straight down from fender to touch tread, you tires are out just a bit

Bear in mind that formula is only as accurate as the specific manufacturer happens to be with labled tire sizes. In the real world a 265 from one company can be wider than a 275 from another.

The FR wheels are 9 " wide unless Im missing something. 265/40/22 will be the perfect match as the 20" OEM's, alot of us are running the 285/40/22 which is 1mph off at 60 if I remember correctly using the Falkens. I also have the falken st04's and love them on my Viper FR's. Get the Ebay sensors, better yet get the deal from Finny above which will help him save some money for his next mod.

Where is everyone getting the srt8 reps from/ I thought those were like 22*9 with 30 offset? The ones I have seen seem to be pretty flush? So maybe I am not looking at the right one when looking at them for the D????

Its pretty close across the board and has never been that far off.
In my formula the 24.5 is 1 inch. So 275/24.6=11.22, and 265/24.5=10.81 there cannot be that much difference in tolerances manufacturer to manufacturer no more than 1/4-1/2 " I suppose otherwise the aftermarket tire industry would go nuts. But you are correct everything is different manuf to manuf

What's the best 22 for snow? Might get a set of 22s but would have to go through one season of snow on them.
