Probably the board in the TIPM was designed with an electronic relay that activates and deactivates fuel. That relay probably was designed inferior and cannot handle amp load from pump. so if the bypass the circuit they may be installing a piggy back relay somewhere to control this function.
Really a bandaid to an extremely poor design.
Chrysler albeit responsible for these modules doesnt build them, they just contract companies that do. They are responsible but really arent the ones at fault.
Good luck with the repairs

Dealer looked at my car yesterday and said it's the wireless control module. They were able to get one in yesterday but can't install it until Monday. We'll see how it goes.

One other interesting thing - when I put the key in after it wouldn't start with the button there was a really loud vibration coming from the center console or cluster somewhere. It stopped as soon as I turned the key.

Sounds like a vent actuator problem. When working correctly, you'll hear a single soft thunk and or whirring and hisses under your dash, sometimes after you turn the car off. When they fail they can make a loud repetitive thunk as they try to reposition but fail. There may be other causes for such a sound, so let the dealer track it down.

Just an update got my DD back on Friday ran fine until Saturday then my check engine light came on & when I would turn off the car it wasn't wanting to cut off. Took it to dealership on Tuesday just now finding out that it needed another software update & now a new cylinder head!! WOW this just keeps getting worse & worser. All I can say is thank God it's covered under my power train warranty. Now need to decide if I'm ready to scrap car & start all over again!
