uhhhh, I got a nightmare with LED stripes like these on my D. My Garage had installed some because in Switzerland we are only allowed to have white parking lights. Therefore they disabled the orange one and installed some led stripes on the exact same location.

Look what happend after some thousand kilometer with a constantly moving bumber hitting the led stripe:


It looks like the plastic/rubber housing was killed and water was entering it thus creating a short which melted the LED and the rubber. This destroyed almost the plastic of the Headlights! Just because I immediately stopped because of the white smoke coming from there on a traffic light I was able to pull it out before it also melted the housing. Guess what, the fuse was not blowing because the current draw of the LED short was not enough to blow it!!!

That's the reason why I now use an other solution and will never ever install something like this again.... Hope you will not end in a similar situation like me. I still have to repair my bumper.... :-(

Thx for the heads up. I'll def keep an eye on it. they weren't expensive so I have to pull them off no big deal. here's a closeup of them as requested.

Update on these lights. Almost all the bulbs are out on the passenger side. I'm pulling them off.
