Thanks!
Here are some pictures to help out ...
Pry carefully from the left corner until you hear it snap open
and continue around until you can pull it down. I didn't unplug anything just left it hanging there.
Next you remove the four screws holding the nav screen and just pull the nav screen down .. so you can reach behind the dash to the starter button.
Now .. unplug the wire ... then push on the tab on the bottom and push the whole thing out.
picture of reference to bottom tab (this is my old starter)
Transfer the trim piece to the new starter .. push it in, plug it in .. and then screw the nav screen back in .. and then pop the trim piece back on.
Now ... you doing so, you could run the risk of breaking something on the trim ... so don't blame me if it happens lol.

I am trying to replace this starter as we speak. I can get the bottom of it to release but the starter assembly does not want to push out from the top. The radio is removed and I can feel inside to push on the bottom tab. However there are two smaller tabs on top. It seems like they are holding it in but I am not sure.
I'm afraid I am going to break it because I have put considerable pressure on it to push it out. It comes a out a little but won't release. What is holding this thing up from coming out? The only thing I did not do was unplug the wire from the starter assembly I wanted to push it out before I did that.
Is it hard to push the starter assembly out of the dash? Just looking for some info from one of you who has done this to point me in the right direction before I break something.
Thanks.

Nevermind, I got it out.
Doesn't look like anything broke on the bracket it sits in but the top does not hold in like it did before. After unplugging the wire, I ended up reaching in with my right hand using my middle finger to apply pressure to the bottom tab and pushed down and out while holding on the back of the assembly. It finally let loose and popped out.
It's not going anywhere and looks good.
Just for good measure I also disconnected the negative battery terminal under the passenger seat since I was messing around with the electronics.
Socket sizes you will need. 13mm for the negative terminal. 7mm and an extension to remove the 4 bolts holding the NAV screen in. Also, get trim sticks. I picked up some from AutoZone for about 10 bucks or so.
