Angry 2011 R/T Multiple Issues

Issues:

1) Bad AWD Switch needs to be replaced - Quoted @ $730 parts and labor
2) Heated seats will not stay on - Quoted @ $450 parts and labor for the drives side module dealer says is the culprit
3) Headlights randomly flicker (on occasion) like a strobe light - dealer says the bad AWD switch and the heated seat module are messing with the elec system thus causing the flicker. Say that fixing the above 2 should fix it

*** Anyone had these issues? For a synopsis of the AWD issue please read my rant below. If you don't care, please stop here. Thanks guys! ***

AWD "low" indicator has been flashing randomly on occasion since early NOV. I was worried it threw itself into actual low the first time it happened, dealer assured me its not the case. Tacoma WA dealer did a "flash" on the software saying it should have fixed the issue.... NOPE. Half way across the country on my drive from Seattle, WA to Richmond VA the low indicator started flashing again and flashes when ever they heck it feels like it. Nothing more irritating than a flashing anything on the cluster.

Last night after parking my cargo trailer in a gravel parking lot, I pulled out onto the road and it seemed to be in AWD Low. Keep in mind I did NOT put it into low as there was no reason to. Sure enough the unmistakable sound of AWD low and the noticeable difference in handling assured me it was in AWD low. The indicator was flashing at first then was like, "just kidding, I was in low the whole time" and stayed low constant. Long story short it put itself into low and stayed there, it was stuck. I tried everything to get it out for a half hour even turning around back to the gravel lot. No Luck! This is the one and only time it actually put itself into AWD Low.

Drove it to the dealer in Low at 25 mph on a 55 mph highway (right lane) looking like a real idiot. Bigger idiots were the drivers in VA who had to have seen my flashers for miles only to come all the way up behind me as if I'm going to go any faster?!?!

Dealer says switch needs to be replaced. Any one else had this issue and any other service recommendations other than the dealer in Price George VA? Thanks!

I have had some issues with my heated seats on my 2011 R/T. There for a while they would heat up then kick off. After they would kick off they would not stay on if I hit the switch again. Seemed like it would reach a thermal kickoff, it has been over a year since I used them but am on vacation right now and have been using them daily with no issues. Do you have under 45k miles on it? I ask because it might be worth it for you to buy the extended warranty. I bought my lifetime warranty from harrold ziggler for $2,300 bucks with a $100 dollar deductible. You will have at least half that in the above and thats not even saying it will fix it. With the issues I see popping up I am glad I got mine, I also plan on passing this vehicle to my son and running it into the ground. You can get a price quote from their site and many others, they were the cheapest I found. Good luck and I hope it gets taken care of.

I've got the same issue with the passenger side heated seat also. Will stay on for about 10 minutes and then cuts off and will not come back on. It doesn't feel like it's heating up that well either. And of course it's where my wife sits and she likes it. Gonna hold off until the next service though.

Unless I get my marching orders before then.
