Default Engine "jumping"

I have a 14 Limited 3.6L with about 3000 miles. Ive noticed that if i apply a little gas and then let off the accelerator (brings it to 2nd gear) you can feel the engine jump. Now a friend of mine that has a 13 Jeep GC has the same issue with his.

Anyone have the same problem?

Thanks

What does "jump" mean? A miss? Momentary quick acceleration? Is a rope involved?

yes it does.

I get it when from a dead stop i step on the gas and get to 2nd gear about 2500 rpm and then let go and it knocks .

Ill have to record it the next time i go out. I had surgery on my shoulder so i dont go out as often.

sounds like it is shifting down right after you let go of gas.

haven't noticed anything like that on my 2014 r/t yet. plenty of stop and go for me too, staten island traffic and all hah

does your friends jeep have v6 or the hemi?

The SI traffic, stop signs and lights are what makes me feel it often.

My wifes Avenger R/T AWD with the 6 speed has done this since new.
We have gotten used to it, it used to be annoying in traffic like that.
