HI i leave in france, and i have from august an imported DODGE DURANGO CITADEL AWD (this vehicle do not exist in france), and and I'd like to have your opinion on a problem: my vehicle did not have the start stop button , (normaly i think he was equiped for this model), only have the key fob with five buttons rke transmitter,
so I ordered at my chrysler dealer the engine start stop button, but when I install it, I get a message that the key is defective! I read in the manual page 411, the RKE transmitter must be in the passenger compartment? can you tell me what this looks like? the ref of the piece? where is located this RKE? If possible a photography ?
Thank you for your help, because my dealer doesn't know any this vehicle, it is even me who got him the ref of the start stop button!

Your vehicle may not have the complete system due to it being shipped out of US.
What year is your D?
You may be missing the WIN module which communicates with the Key Fobs
And even if you get one, Your TIPM Module may have to be flashed to accept use of the Keyless entry system

my DURANGO is from 2012 april. This is a CITADEL model, so i think is equiped ! and when i insert the key fob into the ignition, i have a message the message to press the brake pedal and press the start and stop button !!!!

do you think you can have information on my vehicle ? if is equiped ?

unfortunatly where is the WIN module located ? in the glove box ? in the door passenger box ? in the central box ? if you have a picture of this WIN module it can help me.
If my vehicule don't equiped, can i equiped him ? i have already the start and stop button, so.....

Win Module in your D is located behind the dash in that general area
I do not know what it looks like, But if you take your VIN to the DODGE PARTS dealer he should be able to look it up and give you a better idea of where it is. Also put new Batteries in the FOBs and see if it helps.

 

I was unaware there was an export version of the Durango. I assumed they we all the same and any that went overseas were modified by the importing company.

 

They may have specific items in the build, most are modded like you say

My dealer forgot to install the start stop button on my RT. According to the parts manager the start stop button is located somewhere in the third row when not installed. So look there first.
According to the technician, if you get a new s/s button it has to reprogrammed to both your keys to be recognized by the car.
Mine was not installed because someone forgot to give it back to me when they prep the RT for delivery to me. I only found out that I had it when I read about it from this forum.
Good luck locating it in the third row area.
