@fullslp - did you get a splash shield or anything to help with potential hydrolock? or is that not even a concern with that set up?

Non issue bro. Even if I drove through 2 feet of water it would only fill the lower portion of the tube and since the Volant is an open chamber design (only closed off on engine side) there is no vacuum created. So no hydrolock.

Not at all, it creates no vacuum but if you were super concerned you could alway drill a hole in the elbow at the lowest portion of the system for drainage purposes. You will get more water on your Volant just washing your truck with the hood closed than with this setup.

Got mine delivered today. Easy install though I saw room for improvements as far as design and mounting.

Two bolts that connect the main housing together should be spread to one in each side rather than both on the same side.

And one more bracket to brace the main housing on the opposite side of the only provided brace.

And last, the hole that was pre-drilled for the weather strip was too big and the fastener won't stay put.

Other than that it is all good.

I am still waiting for mine to ship.

Kind of shocked the setup had so many issues, at the price and with the perception that it is the "Cadillac"

I'm just picky about things.

The things I mentioned would be easy fixes but them may not even care.

Confused as to why your's and mine didn't get ordered from the manufacturer together. We order minutes apart from each other.
