No Acceleration V-6 Pentstar
Another issue with the Durango. I was traveling on I-95 pulled into a rest area, when I was exiting the rest area there was traffic traveling at high speeds. I had to accelerate quickly. I stomped on it, as soon as I did that the SUV violently decelerated. It felt like taking a 5 speed manual from 5th gear to first while going 70mph, the CEL came on. I had to quickly pull over because traffic was barreling down on me. I turned off the vehicle and restarted it. Drove another 300 miles home. I read out the code and it was P0730-INCORRECT GEAR RATIO. I reset the light drove it to the dealer and traded it in. The Durango has not been a reliable vehicle for me. Recently the left side heads were replaced due to a defect causing a misfire.
I almost swore off Chrysler Products. I have owned my fair share of them. The Durango and a Dakota are the only ones to give me issues. I did a lot of research and asked people that have owned a Ram 1500 and got a warm and fuzzy. I got a Ram 1500 Laramie. Plus IMO no other truck looks as good as the Ram.
It was scary, I looked in the rear view mirror all I saw was headlights getting closer real fast, especially with my family in car. It was pretty much the last draw for the Durango and I. I figured it was time to part ways.
