The worst I have ever gotten out of a tank, hand calcualted was 13.7MPG and that was me doing some "spirited" driving. lol
i mean i do remote start the car for 15 mins every morning. i average atleast 30 mph on my way to work between city/highway. but i do have a very heavy foot, and i've been driving very spirited. Will give it a few hundred miles more to see if it works better.

Remote start 15 min every day? Lol, that's the problem, this 5.7 gulps and does not sip at idle.

That is a pretty long warm up but it has been around zero for a while here in the Northeast. Avg speed 30mph that will eat some gas as well. You need to get that D out and run it

He's in Staten Island. Probably have to go out after 10:00 PM to find a stretch of road to open it up. Maybe cross the bridge into Jersey and head south on the turnpike. At least you could do 80 without having to worry much.

Funny, I'm looking for a slower route from the dealer I ordered my RT from which is 60 miles from my house as I don't want to be the slowpoke on I95 trying not to exceed engine break in speeds.

If you vary your speed between 60-70 no cruise control all will be well. No pounding it down to start off either. The key is to have varied RPM levels and not any Rpm fixed for an extended period
Good Luck with your D.

So my buddy negotiated a price of $41000 with a $1000 rebate, which means I'm looking at a $40k sale price plus TTT. I feel like this is a decent price especially since it has the following options:
Tow package/Polished wheels/sunroof/nappa leather. What do you guys think? Biggest obstacle is my trade, so I'll have to deal with that as well.

Thanks.

This is from the manual.

"Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km).

After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or

55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.

While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the

limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in.

Wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental

and should be avoided."

"Moderately" is somewhat subjective on who's driving :-)

Got ya beat there buddy, I get 10.2 on my 13 D R/T and 11 on my 13 Charger RT and the wife drives both of them, I only use on weekends or after work. My Shelby with 540 RWHP gets 14.5. You have to think smiles per gallon, not miles per gallon.

That is a really good price. That's about 3-4% under invoice I believe.
