Done mounting the running boards. The DeeZee onesfit fine on the 2014 RT. Piece of cake to install. Can't feel my hands now though because it was about 20 degrees this morning when i did them. lol. Worth it though.

It's because the pinch weld on the Durango is closer to the outside than on others. That's where you mount them. I personally like that it sticks out. On the RT, it makes it look like a continuation of the front body molding to the side of the car. Plus, it will likely prevent some door dings from smaller cars next to you (suvs will still dent it). Also, I've now realized that cleaning the roof just got easier.

Mcfarl, glad to see you gave it a shot. I thought they would go on as easy as on my 13. Looks good. Now my secret is out. :-) In my opinion these are best option for the R/T if you want steps.

Does anyone know what the part number would be for a 2014 or 15 Dodge Durango mounting kit for the Dee Zee running boards?

i like those tubular mopar running boards, their only real purpose is for appearance thought, even with a lifted D its no issue to get in. Looks good. contemplating it.

("not so fun" fun fact: every ~100ish pounds of static weight you add to a vehicle kills 1-2% of the fuel economy. lets say these side steps weight 80lbs your paying an addition $50 a year on gas with the hemi equipped D if you drive 30,000km's yearly . I know this cost is vir tually negligible over the course of a year. and obviously not a considerable reason to not get side steps, just some number's for those with curious minds.)

Not certain on the part number, but they are exactly the same as the 2011-2013 part. I have a 2014 RT, but I just ordered by see zees by going to amazon and looking for 2013 compatability. Exactly the same undercarriage.

Can someone take a picture at board height, straight down the side axis of the D? All the pictures are of an overhead type and don't really show how far they extend.

The Dee Zee boards are adjustable. Taking a picture of mine wouldn't really tell you anything in particular since I could adjust them to be closer or farther away. They slide back and forth until you decide to tighten them at a distance based on your preference.
