Default Any aftermarket running boards going to fit my R/T? Frustration mounting

So second failed mod in the books, after waiting nearly a month for them. I have an 80lb box waiting to go back to Romik, because they do not fit the R/T. At least autoanything.com and Romik have been very professional and friendly in the ordeal since the site says they will fit all '14 Durango models. The running boards are gorgeous btw for non-R/T Durangos

I don't want to go OEM, because I want something different and when they look up my vin the only board that comes up has chrome accents. I want all black.

What about nerfs? Tons of sites say they will fit, but don't want to go through the excitement and disappointment again. I know to stay away from Aries. What about Truck Champ, any experience there?

Thanks guys

I ordered mine back in 2012 , I believe from autoanything too, they were aries nerf bars. Spent about 3 hours trying to install and finally decided they wouldnt work. Box was a little damaged, and due to the low cost, Aires actually told me to keep and sell if I wanted and also refunded my money. So I sold them for $100 on craigs list. But yes it seems all the sites say " they work" but no true testing has been done from my experience when I ordered mine. Didnt feel like blowing $500 on OEM ones, didnt want them that bad.

Good Luck Man.

What is the need for running boards on a R/T Durango? My 4 year old can get in it with no problem. Is it strictly for looks?

P.S. Not trying to sounds like a "smart guy" for lack of better words. It's a serious question. lol

Yeah for me at the time was a cheap mod that I thought would enhance the appearance, but glad I didnt get it as now realize takes away the sporty look of the black beauty

Dealer talked me out of running boards, service manager told me he felt the were more of a trip hazard or obstacle to getting in than help and if I was just thinking about it for looks that I should reconsider. I'm not vertically challenged so I decided against them.

The only thing they may help with is Stones and anything else flying up onto the rocker panels

Now a lifted AWD with some all terrains and running boards is a different story, that would be sweet!
