owners manual says for the first 300 miles, drive moderately. After the first 50 miles, speeds of 50-55 are preferable. Brief, full throttle acceleration contributes to a good break in per the manual. Just no full throttle at low gear yet. Also, no towing.

Bought mine last Saturday. I pretty much drove it exactly as the manual stated. Luckily I had to drive 300 miles for a business trip yesterday and averaged around 75 mph and a beautiful 22 mpg. I'll take it! I now have 590 miles on it and will start to get a little more aggressive now.

The good stuff...87 octane. Trust me, I was surprised too. Florida is obviously super flat, so maybe that has something to do with it. Either way, I'm more than happy!

Is that 22mpg calculated or what the computer is telling you? Thanks.

What it's telling me. It may not be 100% accurate, but I know it's close. I compared it with my wrangler, which I used to make the same trip with.

They recommend 89 octane for optimal performance unless it changed in 14'?
