Definitely go clear (glossifier) white runs unless you put a base coat of another color down first.

 

 

I use plasti-dip on my wheels as I am too cheap to fork over the $$ for black rims. I have been too afraid to use it on the truck, but after seeing MJNewman's ride, I want to try this once MN thaws out. I have yet to have an issue with the wheels after 2yrs.
