Am I the first to change from 2011 to 2014?

You're over four times my highest depreciation value. Almost 12 grand in a year. Whew, wish I had that kind of disposable income.

But you are correct about avoiding first-year models as they often have more bugs yet to be corrected. The DD was an exception from what I've read and even in the first year of production hard asses like Consumer's Report gave the truck very high marks.

Ouch! Mopar products tend to drop fast initially and then level out. (My Dakota and Ram did that) Knew that going in, but I wanted THIS car. That said, rather than moving the DD after 2 years, I'll probably keep it a bit longer to even out the depreciation. I've done best with Toyotas. I buy them because I know they're good "long term keepers". Problem is I hate them after a year-boring, uncomfortable, but faithful.

Did I fall asleep again? You make it sound like there was a major redesign of the DD between '13 and '14, and maybe an upcoming one between the '14 and '15. The ony major change I know of from '11 to '14 has been the new 8-speed transmission, everything else has been cosmetic tweeks (new dash, rotary shifter, taillights etc.).

A RADIO, AN 8 SPEED, ROTARY SHIFTER and some NEWER DESIGN LIGHTS DOESNT MAKE IT A WHOLE NEW D!
There have been a few that are suffering some pretty bad bugs with the 14's as well. There are several radio control issues popping up, not many here but there are some. Local dealer has at 3 head units on order for same symptoms that some here have posted.
EVERYONE ENJOY YOUR D's

I caught that reviewer making at least one other mistake so I don't believe the spring claim. He said the tow ratings were increased strictly because of the 8-speed. I pointed out in the comments that the tow ratings didn't change from '13 to '14.
He also claimed they "added" a soft-touch dash. My '13s dash is soft touch. So what is it, soft"er" touch? I call B.S. on that one as well, though I have not touched a '14 dash yet.

The one I test drove had the CD player in it under arm rest, lost all space under there. Dont like no longer a DVD player option up front either, or at least not that I have read. Although I did like the smoothness of the 8 speed and ability of some fun shifting with the tiptronics. But yeah I think Im going to hold on to the D for a little while until something more exciting tries to take the D's spot.
