Durango Carryall (What have you hauled in your durango?)
What majorly huge things have you hauled in your D3?
I'm working on a spare bedroom office project. I decided to buy some IKEA cabinets because I could assemble and haul them myself. IKEA is in Denver, 200 miles away.
The fold flat front passenger seat is a nice feature that I discovered at IKEA yesterday. Hauled 8 foot long countertops for the project.

Here she is with 11 total cabinets in boxes loaded up. The invoice said 850 pounds..... 83 pieces.

Drove it 200 miles home through a Rocky Mountain blizzard. The self leveling rear suspension was great.

Good to see others 'use' the vehicle for hauling stuff. I bought a rubberized type floor mat at Menards for about $30 and large enough to cover the entire cargo space from the back of the front seats to the tailgate and wide enough to actually roll up on the sides a few inches. I have it in this mode most of the time since I haul a lot of different items. For example, countertops, lumber of all dimensions, freezer, luggage and bins of personal items on long distance trips, ladders, kayak, bike, desks, chairs, couch, etc etc. Summer time, I pull a sizable boat. Once each summer we take the boat, 2 grandkids, food and luggage on a two week fishing trip to northern Wisconsin (225 mile haul one way). I do not baby this vehicle other than keep it reasonably clean and in good repair. I bought it to haul and tow and take long road trips and in 45,000 miles, it has not let me down.
In my 11 Crew i used to have Ive hauled:
1. a bedroom set from Ikea (queen bed frame, 7 ft cabinet, 5 ft cabinet, 2 end tables about 400lbs
2. ive carried about 15-20 rifle cases (i teach a Boy Scout Venturing Crew)
3. luggage for 2 guys and 2 females for 5 days, 5 pistols with 2500 rds of ammo
(And during this trip to PA i was going about 65-70 mph and the van in front of me hit a orange construction barrel and spun it into me and i was able to avoid it by cutting the wheel sharp to the left and go around it and it was very responsive and avoided a bad accident and lots of damage. Didnt even have to hit the brake. the 50/50 weight balance is awesome and see if any other vehicle in our class can do the same at that speed without flipping over)
4. Im sure i have others but cant remember but ill definitely be hauling more in the future.
