I tried it with a couple of wal mart bags, zip lock next time--I promise. I also drove up on 2x4's and the 1.5 inches made a huge difference in me squeezing under the car

Sweet. But not everyone has a brother-in-law who owns a dealership. :-) The best I can do is get it done for $25.98 using a dealer coupon. I gave up self-lube about five years ago when it got obvious I wasn't as limber as I used to be. That sucks because I enjoyed wrenching, but . . . .

This is a very helpful thread for those 3g Durango owners who are looking to spare some of the cleaning time after oil changes...so its being featured in today's Tech Thread Spotlight. Thanks to all of the members who offered some input!

Ya know, ramps are cheap to buy. You guys are jacking them up when you could just drive up a ramp.
Nice to be clean with the oil change. Maybe buy remote kits and move your filter to an accessible location. If kits are available.
If not... money making ideas.
Used oil is great weed killer for around the garage. I remember those days.
Try it today. I don't see them freakin tree huggers helping me with my lawn and such. Its only weeds people. Let us dump.
****, they oil roads. Why can't I oil my driveway.

I agree with the Ramps I have a few Low Profile ones that work Great.
I do not agree with using the oil on the ground even though I am sure it does work Great

I didn't know they still do/allow that in the USA. I haven't seen it done since at least the '70s around here.

So I see. I'd assumed your governmentt had banned that and that our regime had done so too, especially after the start of the environmental movement in the 70s.

Had my first change done at a Mr. Lube/quickie type place around a month ago. For all their experience, I still had burn off and driveway drips for 3 days. They even power washed after they sprayed oil all over my undercarriage.
