I remember the post, and was wondering how long it would be until this came up, what was the mechanical issue? Robbie, did you get a used car warranty?

Oh, and here's the obligatory "awkward......."

It's certified Dodge Pre-Owned.. Its a 2013.. So bascially I have the factory limited warranty for 2.5 more years and 30,00 more miles.. I also bought an extended warranty that goes until 100k miles.. So at least I should be covered..

But still, I bought this car because i wanted a RELIABLE car that would never be in the shop.. I am moving to Wyoming and will be traveling EVERY weekend and the number 1 thing I wanted in a car was reliability.. I guess time will tell.

I had too many issues with the a/c, the heater not working, engine squealing at start up....all could have probably been resolved but the dealership's service department I think was not very reliable. I was tired of continually dropping off the Durango and driving a rental.

It sounds like you got most of the kinks out for me.. And its good to know someone like you owned it before me! Also it is good news that none of the items that had to be fixed were integral to the drivetrain, just little things...

Hopefully I have a little better luck!

Thanks

i had 300 J 500 max it was loud. my muffler man reduced the last 2-3 inchs of the pipe by 20-30 %. it worked very well. and no loss in power.

That sounds like it would wreak havoc on airflow.

I love it except for one thing, it has a custom exhaust on it! It is just too loud for me and frankly it just isn't my style. I know plenty of people like them, but I am just not someone who would put one on my personal cars..

I want my exhaust to be quieter! When I was purchasing the car, the dealer said they would take it off and replace it for an extra $900.. I passed and said I could live with it until I find a cheaper solution.

Well I took it to my guys at Midas today and they put it on the lift and we looked under it. They said it had an "x-pipe" welded on and a magnaflow exhaust.. They thought installing to resonators would help make it quieter but they didn't sound too sure..

From reading the forums it sounds like plenty of you have installed aftermarket exhausts... If you were in my situation what would you do? Will resonators make a difference? Should I have the whole system removed and replaced? If I remove the mangnaflow system will it be worth any money?

Help me!

Is there anyone in Iowa/Illinois who wants to trade their stock system for my magnaflow?
I live in Aurora, IL. I would be interested in trading if it is a direct bolt on w no modifications

uvalmore, what is the X-pipe the OP mentioned? Which Magnaflow exhaust is it? There are 2 on the Magna's website w dual exhaust, part # 15067 and 15068. One mentions for V6, the other mentions R/T V8. You probably got the 15067 for the V6 right?
