Default Sound proofing

I will be trying this over the weekend. I will start by just removing the molded felt inserts in the fender wells and coating them with several good layers of the spray plastic. Anyone every tried this or done any sound proofing to their vehicle? The road noise from the Fortera's just bugs me too much.

Haha should've gotten a new Chevy. They're all supposed to be very sound insulated.

Had a Tahoe, had a Suburban, wouldn't trade my R/T for either. Just trying to make a subtle improvement.
