Unconnect question / minor issue
I just purchased a new '14 R/T with 8.4AN on Saturday and have also noticed the exact same shift in sound when making eq adjustments. Surround turned on, 13.48.3. If I recall correctly I was listening to media on my 5S. The "improvement" or shift in sound is was somewhat along the lines of the system fully engaging the surround option.
Sounds exactly what I am hearing, this is annoying in my book that you have to do this each time you get into the car. I spoke to someone at uconnect online and they mentioned that 13.48.3 was "suppose" to fix that ... but I don't believe that is the case. Hopefully a new update will come out, I wish there was somewhere we could go to show someone this issue to get it resolved

I noticed it but I don't use the surround mode. For me it seems to busy up the sound stage too much. Like I said before, the change is subtle and I almost feel as if it seems that it's just raising the volume a hair. The key would be to hook up a tone generator and have a sound meter. I have a tone gen app in my old Iphone and a sound level meter. If I have the inclination and find anything I'll post it here.

One thing I've been having a problem with the past few days is playing music off a USB drive. If I pick a specific song from the browse menu, it will keep playing that song no matter what I do. I hit shuffle, repeat and shuffle again, use the next or previous button it just keeps playing the same song. I have to jump out of media and listen to sat or FM and then go back to USB and maybe it will start shuffling. I'm sure I can pull the drive and re-insert it but I obviously shouldn't have to do that.

So .. I notice that when I am playing music, either via the radio, bluetooth, pandora, usb etc etc .. it sounds fine .. but if I go into the equalizer settings .. if I adjust anything (as an example adjusting the base down 1 notch) the sounds instantly becomes richer sounding ... I have to do this each time I start the truck .. its a minor annoyance .. I am on the latest version 13.48.3. I can't for the life of me remember if it was like this prior to updating (so I could take advantage of Pandora). is anyone else running into this? Can you check your system? (I have the surround sound option turned on as well). Thanks!
I can't make mine replicate this issue. I'm no help.
Do I go to the dealer or will it update on its own through uconnect? (I haven't gotten around to activating uconnect)
