Default 2015 Durango

I am ready to turn in my 1st gen Durango R/T for a 3rd gen Durango R/T. But will be in 2015 before I can make the trade.

I read on some websites that rumors of the 6.4 hemi will be an available option on the 2015 model? I hope this is a confirmed rumor. I am not expecting a SRT version of the Durango, would be nice tho, but would not mind having a sleeper stock appearance with a monster 6.4 under the hood!

I dont see that happening for a while if not ever.
From inside sources, There will never be an SRT Durango.

I agree. Much as I'd like to see an SRT Durango they just don't sell enough Durangos - as compared to the JGC - to justify the expense of engineering an SRT Durango. I suppose most parts from the SRT JGC would fit, but they still need to build, test, market, etc.

True, but I still don't mind to have a stock R/T exterior appearance but with a 6.4 hemi under the hood.

probably not going to happen, especially considering the plans to scrap the durango in the coming years.

If they do anything, I would think they would drop the diesel in it.

Given that they are almost the same vehicle, I would have no issue going with the SRT JGC, though I've heard that the slightly shorter wheelbase makes for a choppier ride.

Scrap the Durango? Hmmm, that would hit the resale, no?

And new sales. People are less likely to invest in a new vehicle that they hear or suspect will be discontinued before they pay it off. If discontinued, resale value will drop and parts could be harder to get - plus the buyer remorse. Almost as bad as trying to sell a new vehicle where it is well known that it is being totally reworked and will be much better. I bet 2014 Mustang sales are sucking compared to the past few years - I'd wait for the new one at this point.

SRT has the goods on the 6.4. It's not being installed in
Anything that doesn't where the badge... Non spec model RTs didn't get the leftover 6.1s did they.
