2013 dodge durango uconnect® 130s/res
I have a 2013 Dodge Durango with the UCONNECT® 130S/RES, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Verizon, I have successfully paired my phone to the Uconnect and it has all my contacts, whenever I try and place a call thru the Uconnect it will prompt me for what to do either dial or call, if I say one of the contacts it will ring once then say "phone call completed" and then hang up. If I spell out the phone number it will call, ring once and then say "phone call completed" and then hang up. Anyone else having this issue?
If you look in the settings menu --> more --. scroll down to about device --> you'll see the Android version. My bet is that you have 4.3 and you're on a CDMA network (like Sprint or Verizon etc). There is an issue with that version. When you're placing an out going call, Uconnect will ask the phone about that call. The phone needs to reply back at the first asking with "call is in set up mode".
Then Uconnect will ask about the call again, at that time the phone needs to respond back with either "active call" or "no active call". If the phone does not respond correctly or not at all, then Uconnect assumes that there isn't an active call and then returns to the radio mode from hands free mode.
I have a thread on this issue, it's at the link below:

Now, I have had some success with initiating the call from the phone itself. It's not a 100% success but in the 80ish%.
Samsung is aware of this issue and I have tested a patch for them that cured the issue. It's supposed to be released with the KK 4.4.2 SW update in late March - early April.

I am only able to confirm that it's on the following radios because they're the ones that I have access to:
1) RES,
2) REQ,
3) RBZ,
4) RHB,
Also this issue is only with CDMA network phones. (like Sprint & Verizon). the issue has not been seen on GSM networks (like AT&T or T-Mobile).

I have success when initiating from phone itself as well, it works perfect on incoming thru the Uconnect.

Each of the radio mfg's and Uconnect suppliers have different methods of how they get a unit to work and how the SW is written. So basically Uconnect as well as the radios will work differently on some features. The BT specs are written very loosely and this allows one person to interpret the specs differently than another person.
In this case the Harman radios don't ask about the outgoing calls, so the phone doesn't need to reply correctly to the RHR.

press and release the Uconnect phone button and say:
1) Set up, device pairing, delete device,
2) You'll be asked to say the name of the device or say all,
3) Say the name that you gave your phone when you paired it, (ex: mike's phone),
4) Uconnect will say "deleting ##### is that correct?",
5) Say Yes
These steps will delete the phone from Uconnect, now you'll need to delete Uconnect from the phone:
1) Go your phone's settings menu,
2) on the top menu bar, tap "connections",
3) Tap Bluetooth,
4) Find Uconnect and tap the gear wheel to the right,
5) Tap Unpair
Now Both devices are deleted from each other.
