Default Install factory HID headlight assemblies in a 13 Dodge Durango Crew V6

Bought a set of OEM HID headlights and went to the custom shop to get it done but they said only the dealership could do it. I called the dealership for a quote and they said it would be over a thousand dollars. Should i just sell the headlamps or does someone know how to do it? Thanks in advance.

someone makes a conversion harness, but i believe it was NOT cheap, and was atleast a few hundred bucks.

So why the dealership? I'm sure a harness would make things easier but a wiring diagram and somebody with electrical skills should be able to make this happen..or just use aftermarket HIDs and sell those on ebay if it woild be too much $$ and hassle

I have searched the net for the harness. From what it seems it is plug and play for the drivers side and the passenger side you need some trickery to get the other light to work such as buying another ballast. it would be nice to use the factory ballast if you ask me. I might just take it to the dealership and have them look at it and then give me a quote or have any other options.

Checked with a junkyard? Im sure there are some trashed Durangos there and one may have the wiring you need and splice to power and ground

Think I am just gonna sell them. Too much work lol. Next vehicle will have them already installed. Anyone know anyone who would want to buy them for $800 as a pair? They are fairly new and have the bulbs and factory ballasts on them.

IF ITS THE OEM HID HEADLIGHTS READ THIS BEFORE YOU SELL THEM, THIS IS MY QUICK SUMMARIZED WRITE UP. IF YOU HAVE ANY WIRING SKILLS AND BUMPER REMOVAL SKILLS THAN ITS JUST PLUG AND PLAY,SORT OF.

Hey thanks a lot. I am very good with electronics and always up to make something work. The custom shop i think got overwhelmed on the work it would take and the dealership just wants my money. I will post pictures and let everyone know how it goes.

Did you use the factory ballast for both headlights? The headlight assembly I have they are attached. the one write up they said they used a seperate ballast for the passenger side. Thanks
