Here are picture of my Durango SXT Plus. Just picked her up today. This is my 3rd Mopar Machine. You can see my old Gen 1 Durango in the background of one of the pictures.

She is not as exciting as an R/T or Citadel but she suites are needs and is just enough truck for what we want. While being the Plain Jane of the Durango family, we did have one couple during our Saturday errands stop us in the parking lot and ask us about the truck including popping the hatch to see the interior.

I love everything about her so far but I do have some complaints.

First off, the tranny is very smooth. I only have 75miles as of today but no issues going up or down any of the long typical New England hills we went through today. Except for a VERY steep climb to a local farm for eggs, the V6 worked great. During that hill climb, I had 'wish I had a V8" moment but it did not stop the Durango from making the steep climb on the slippery gravel.

The wife is happy, so that is all that matter to me at this point. My brother who met us for lunch had only one comment "please tell me you are swapping out those ugly rims?" Yes, they will be going at some point.

My complaints. 14yrs later and I still cannot stand the headlights nor the backup lights. It is the only thing I am really disappointed about. Even with high beams I was like -- WTF! are the lights on. I am hoping I can throw in some 6500K halogens or something to help. The reverse light just sucks. They are NOT AT ALL confidence inspiring on a dark and rainy night. One more, both of other cars we own have headlights that follow the road, I wish the Durango had that feature as well. On some dark country roads, they are very useful to have.

Anyway, will be making some minor mods over the next 12 months.

I am very happy with my purchase.

Very Nice aren't the headlights HID's? They should be great if they are.
Good Luck with it

Thanks for the response

Sadly no, Halogen Headlamps on the SXT, Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps is option starting with the Limitied. The Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps make a big difference IMHO.

The halogen bulb is a 9012LL (which hilariously is the same for the Fiat 500).

xenon bulb produces 3000 lumens and 90 mcd/m2, while a halogen light generates 1400 lumens and 30 mcd/m2.

If you have HIDs, it is listed on the Windows Sticker. I just checked my window sticker and its not listed. You can also see it is not available via the dodge comparison matrix.

They lamp is coated and made like a projector to extend how far the light goes as well as the radius of the light. It also definitely has the yellow hue of a halogen versus the white/blue HID spectrum.

Do some research maybe the housings are the same and you can put HID's in there.

Yep, thanks. I have been searching this morning. I am not the only one. Here is a link to another dodge forum where someone is asking the same question.
