Default Exhaust question

I know it is probably on here somewhere but does anyone know if the suit case in the middle if the exhaust is the muffler or a resinator? If it is the muffler, could I replace it with an aftermarket muffler and leave the stock resinators? And how would it sound? Thanks in advance. Oh it's on a 2014 R/T.

Yep, it's the muffler. I plan to replace the one on my 2011 with a dual in dual out Magnaflow.

One member just took out the suitcase and put in an X pipe. This is next on my to do list. It's very inexpensive an you still have the 2 factory individual resonating mufflers after the axle.

Anyone have a sound clip of an x-pipe w/ the stock resonators out back? I'm thinking it might be raspy.

Thank you for the info guys. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on the exhaust right now. I'm going to look into just replacing the muffler for now. By the way does anyone know the size pipe we have?

It's just a video of the start up.

I'd like to hear what it sounds like with some throttle. If it gets raspy under heavy acceleration.
