while it won't give you much, I did gain 1~2 MPG's when I installed the K&N CAI, and I gained another 1 or so after changing the oil out for synthetic... My wife drives ours mostly in the city, but after those changes we went from ~14 avg to about 16.5 avg...

Not much of a difference, but it is what it is...

Good, well I'm getting about the same as everyone else then. I didn't buy a 5k pound V8 SUV for gas mileage but I'll take what I can get lol, it's still beating the CRAP out of my S331. That thing got about 900 feet per gallon and had to run 93+ because of the blower. I should have invested in OPEC when I bought it.

I'll reset the computer tomorrow on the way in to work once I hit the interstate and see what it shows with only interstate driving and report back

Default Thanks all

Thanks to all whom have posted
We are looking at putting a CAI, which is the best of all of them out there for this 2013 R/T 5.7 Hemi.
Besides that any other nice mods to look into?

Steel, the Volant sounds so rad when you stick your foot in it, you'll be on it all the time bro. That's why I'm still in the low side of MPG around town. No cheesy synthesized engine sound from the radio needed.

There are SO many posts about cold air intakes. It just boils down to opinion. Most prefer the AFE, Volant, or K&N

Not to be Mr. Negative here but has anyone actually looked at the payback on the MPG improvement from installing a cold air intake? The gas mileage improvement would calculate out to taking roughly 12-15 years to pay back the cost of the intake. As someone stated before, why buy a HEMI if you're concerned about gas mileage?

Yep you were right. Waited and reset my mileage computer after getting on te interstate this morning on the way in. 42 miles of driving with cruise locked at 72 (speed limit 65) and I averaged 22.5. Better than I thought I was getting

At $4 a gallon it takes 6 +/- months to pay of a CAI if your getting 1 or 2 mpg better milage. My milage went up 2mpg and I drive avg 1000 miles a month. That's 12% increase in efficiency or 10 gallons a month = $40 X 6 months is $240. But I was actually more interested in the performance so $240 was well worth the smile on my face every time I step on it. It sounds better and has more low end grunt. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned exhaust though. A motor is nothing more than a air pump and though a CAI can help get air in there is a bottle neck if you don't free up the air going out. I suggest BORLA. Sounds badass!
