Don't see many, but I'm sure now they'll be everywhere I look

I was thinking that too (that I'd start noticing them) but I haven't seen any. I'm in SC but didn't see one the other day in Atlanta. But saw tons of every other make I considered buying especially XC60s and XC90s. Weird. I'm pretty sure your ride is going to generate some sales.
The other ride is sweet too.

Volvo isn't what is used to be, and that's coming from a guy who's had at least one Volvo in his driveway since November, 1970.
The wife's XC90 has not lived up to my expectations. Valve body went south at 60k while still under warranty and the entire tranny died last month with only 67K on it but out of warranty on time. I raised hell and Volvo paid $5200 for the hardware and I paid $2200 for labor to put in a new one.
Last week the power steering hose blew out (68K miles) and it cost $1,100 -- m ostly labor because it's tucked deep into the engine compartment -- but the best Volvo would do is 10 percent off.
The wife is looking at Avalons and Acura TLs.

Ouch. At least they worked with you a little. Are people around here getting that kind of sympathy from Chrysler or their local dealers?
I was on a bunch of Volvo forums trying to see how people there felt but you usually get lovers and people with problems to solve in there so I stayed with Consumer Reports.

I was originally looking only at Yukons/Tahoes/Escalades but with GM's recent issues I couldn't put my kids in a GM car. I still can't believe I picked a Dodge over Mercedes ML/GL (funny since I kinda ended up with part of one),BMW X5, Volvos, Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Armada. It feels like the world is upside down lol I guess this really is my 3rd Jeep. The biggest selling point for me was the fact the guy who does all the road tests for Consumer Reports drives a 3G Durango.
