Is This Long Plastic Strip on the driver side door supposed to Light up????
I own a 2011 Durango Crew and when I originally bought the car I clearly remember the long plastic strip (on the picture attached) that's between the door handle and the window switches used to light up on both the driver and passenger sides. I recently took it to both a Dodge dealership and a independent mechanic and they both said that it doesn't have lights, the only lights are in the door handle, the cup holder and map section and they can't find a problem. I know 100% it used to light up with a nice Blue light on both the driver and passenger sides so I just want to know If anybody has had this same problem and how they got it fixed or if someone could just verify that they do light up I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!!
This is a little know Dodge option, number E45, the Zombie Apocolypse Warning light. It is activated when the vehicle is within 600 yards of a zombie. In your case, I can only assume your local zombie has moved away if the light stays off.
You're one lucky dude, my E45 has remained activated ever since my mother-in-law moved in.

You realize, of course, that creatures other than humans can also be zombies? Snakes, ground squirrels, scorpions, iguanas, coyotes etc. etc. even automobile affectionados. If its got a brain -- or used to have one! -- it can be a zombie. Though animal zombies are consderably less common -- usually because the entire body is consumed by the victor, ergo, there's nothing left -- than humans they are coorespondingly more dangerous because of the nature of their past existence.
So . . . that road kill on the pavement on the way to town, scrape it up and burn it just to make sure.
