Need some help/feedback on '12 RT
Went for my inspection today and it failed due to Evap & O2 monitors not being ready.. I have not had any issues with the truck, no engine lights or anything. I went home and noticed the K&N tube had disconnected from intake manifold, but I have never gotten any check engine lights for air leak? Would this cause those 2 monitors not to have a reading. If it was not connected tightly the mass air flow sensor should have been tripped no?
Very unlikely your k&n tripped the o2 fault (readiness test) and I can't see how it would have affected your evap system in any way. Are you positive that your battery hasn't been disconnected or is it in a very low state of charge? Also you havent had any OBD diagnostics done? This was a problem in 99-06 Chrysler PCMs malfunctioning by not reading the o2 sensors and not completing readiness tests but I've yet to hear a problem in newer than 06' PCMs.
Thanks for feedback. I'm un sure why this happened but in any event I gave it a 50 mile drive cycle yesterday and scanned it. Both monitors were functioning properly so it passed inspection no problem. Thanks again.
