Default 13 R/T tow hitch

Anyone have this added on? Remember what you paid? Thanks.

hitch is about $180, comes with all bolts rivets and black bumper cutout trim .Dealer should be able to do it it in 60-90 minutes. You should have the harness already. thye have to cut the rear valance but i watched them do mine and it pretty simple. $400

They have to activate the Tow option in the computer so the wiring harness will work.

Got factory tow on my 2014. What I've seen is that the dealer installed tow hitch is always visible whereas the factory one is hidden behind the bumper with the door to access it.

Going from my 11 to the 14 I've noticed there is no tow haul button on the 14 like I had on the 11????

No button, but your transmission logic should do it automatically. Plus you always have the paddles.

'14 may be the first year for the hitch door. My buddy has a black '13 R/T with the hitch right from the factory and no door.

Got the hitch installed. Started towing around my friend's single axle heavy duty utility trailer with ramp. Hardly knew the trailer was behind me. Back up camera helped a lot for positioning the hitch under the trailer neck. Used Tow/Haul a bit. Bad news was the gas mileage dropped to 13.7 mpg. Not unexpected though. All in all a good experience. BTW the trailer lights didn't work at first. My brother spliced in a new 4 pin connector. All worked, but one quirk. The brake lights don' work if ignition is off....
