I just put a storage box on top of the built-in rack to get ready for vacation. I noticed when I checked everything for a snug fit that the rails (not cross bars) were kind of loose. They seem to move side to side across the roof when I rock the whole assembly. I'd say I can move them a good 1/4 inch each way. Is that normal? I thought there shouldn't be any play at all. I'd be curious if anyone else has had this experience, or could tell me if their rails move.

I just checked my rails and I get some movement out of them. I've carried a kayak on the rack a few times and never noticed the movement until just now. It was probably always there. It does feel like it may just be the plastic covering that moves.
