Jeep SRT8 Springs
OK, so I know this has been talked about before. However, I am seriously considering going with the Eibach 2012-2014 springs for the SRT8 (P/N # 28109.540). The suspensions are basically identical. Weight can't possibly be an issue because the AWD SRT8 Jeep has a curb weight of 5,223lbs and the AWD R/T D is 5,331lbs. That's just over 100lbs, so I can't see that making a difference at all. What am I missing?

Wont work. I can tell you I tried that with the Black Ops coils for the srt when I started and it wasn't even close. The eibach had a lesser spring taste and will result in worse results. There's a reason they aren't listed for the Durango.
2012 SRT8 55/45; 5,000lb towing
2012 R/T 50/50; 7,200lb towing
It looksl like the towing is a gearbox limited thing. The 2014 SRT8 can tow 7,200lbs now. Again, not sure the differences add up to non-compatibility...

Yea, that won't work! Wonder why it is like that? From what I was able to dig-up, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference. Weight is about the same, distribution is close, etc. Talked to Eibach and they definately aren't going to do anything for the D in the near future...

Also, do you have to have it sitting that low? It looks too low and doesn't really even look that good in the back.
Guess it wasn't too clear. That is on stock size 265's. Wheels just have more offset than stock. That is what to expect with the Jeep SRT coils instead of the proper Durango coils. I tried the srt coils when I first started and that's how it ended up.
