After 2300 miles in a new Cherokee.....
The rentals are pretty much strippers. Love to drive a V-6 as that would be entertaining and have enough power to manage the 9 speed, but no such rental available. Mine had no nav, no pwr seats, no leather, no climate control etc. and the headlights were not adequate on roads under heavy construction. I imagine better equipped models would have everything pretty much better. Was nice to get up to 32 mpg on the highway though.
My D is in the shop for a new left cylinder head and two recalls. They gave me a Cherokee loaner with 300 miles. Front drive V6. I'm missing a few of the bells and whistles on my D, but so far the Cherokee is pretty darn nice in my opinion. Love the acceleration. Miss my AWD and the automatic climate control though. Anyway, for a small hatch, I like it.
