the part of the trim seen below closest to the wheel is the part they impacted to stop the rubbing. this is the left wheel well with the wheels turned hard left.
there is more room on the right side well for some reason? by like a cm
Koning,
Yeah pretty close but like you said it's just denting as opposed to a hard cut. This seems manageable to me. The pictures were extremely helpful, thanks again.
You said that your gas milage has been severly reduced, can you give an idea by about how much you are thinking. I'm really looking at doing this to mine and just want to get an idea.

These numbers are from memory and may be off slightly**
before mods i got about low 11l/100km Cruising at 80km/h
now i get about low 13l/100km cruising at 80km/h
the fuel economy gets exponentially worse at faster speeds
i remember being able to go 145km/h in eco mode with like 13 or 14l/100km
now if i want to go 145km/h ill be sucking gas at about 19l/100

Well I followed your lead Thekoning, thanks for all the info you posted, it was a big help in my decision making, I did the 2.5" kit from Rocky Road but I went with 275/55r20 Goodyear DuraTrac on the stock wheels and surprisingly they do not hit anywhere. I notice a very very slight increase in road noise but not bad at all, and I ran the truck upstate NY and back last weekend (about 260 miles) with those tires ( but not lifted yet) and I got 16.6 mpg running between 65-75 mph, not too bad. We did the lift yesterday and it was a piece of cake (6.5 hours with 4 wheel align) I'll attach some pics.
Thanks again for all of your input, it helped a great deal.... RC

Wow, its an amazing feeling to see someone i have influenced go through and lift their D. Although im kinda pissed off because i think your D might look nicer than mine !
Really happy for you and i think it looks sweet. That wheel setup is great, those goodyears where going to be my second choice everyone raves about those. looks good with the larger 20'' rims too.

Do you know what is the factor influencing your fuel economy deterioration the most?
The lift or the tires?
