Koning's Lifted Durango BUILD!
The Durango citadel featured on this forum is officially for sale. Please email me at Erik@koning.ca for those with serious inquires only.
This thread will list my mods with lots of pics and refer to specific threads where more info can be found on them! Loving the stance! http://i57.tinypic.com/8vt0ev.jpg I dont know how he managed to slip under the radar from us, but the actual first person to do this is xsheenx, with his rocky road lifted V6 crew https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-and-pics.html purchased from belleville dodge Chrysler jeep, first mod was full legal tints, %35 I believe http://i60.tinypic.com/29eg275.jpg more sound from the hemi, by cutting out resonator and threw in h-pipe for ~$110 done by local muffler shop.https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...lo-h-pipe.html not the best handling in the winter with its low ride height and crappy all seasons. We did some research and found out about rocky roads lift kit. The kit is $450 made for the jeep grand cherokee but fits the durango fine adding 2.5 inches of lift, and allows for 32.1 inch tires with minimal trimming of felt linner. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...sion-help.html Remember the stock control arms will need replacing after 2-5 years anyway so you may want to get their optional control arms on the spot then as I did. The tires we went with are BFG T/a ko2's because they are actually Trac severe snow approved which is unusual for that standard to be met by an all terrain tire. This tire can get you insurance discounts as it is a winter tire to insurance companieshttp://www.bfgoodrichtires.ca/tire-s...2/tire-details These tires are the successor of the original ko's which were not so good in snow but overall and excellent tire. These new ko2's are generally cheap for a tire of its class, and offer aggressive looks with lots of functional traction. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ter-tires.html The tires are also quite quiet! unlike the h-pipe ;) Lift went on by performance sales and leasing in belleville they took 15 hours to do it, alot more than it should have taken... Some oter users say it takes about 5 http://i62.tinypic.com/2ihv8nk.jpg Wanted more light for night driving, bought this 32inch led bar off ebay with a 3 year warranty for $130, such a steal compared to $1000 for a rigid industries light bar. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...tionality.html http://i57.tinypic.com/2m6382e.jpg Threw on the fender stripes as most people have and added the block text "Hemi on to the hood. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...stalled-3.html The Durango's appearance has dramatically changed and we couldn't be more happy with it, definitely a mean looking truck now :). It could use some fender flares tho haha. Wheels are 275/65/r18 on 7033 pro comp rims with a 0 offset. http://i59.tinypic.com/sonx92.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/2qwea29.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/icte82.jpg (before and after with mud flap both have lift) http://i57.tinypic.com/2mwzgyg.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/kcjwr6.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/w7ewlz.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/nqzsyd.jpg :icon_pala: (Nov 19 2014) Installed mopar mud flaps to stop debris from scratching the paint, i think they look okay with the larger poked out wheels. they came next day threw dealer for like $90 or something. Did install my self, wasnt so bad, takes about an hour for all 4 if you know what your doing and have all tools right there. You do have to take off the rear wheels for the rear flap which is kinda annoying. :icon_photo: http://i60.tinypic.com/oi4tpy.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/5pndqs.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/1zmnt4m.jpg The mopar flap and the husky mud flaps (https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...installed.html ) are the only flaps available for the durango at this time. I looked for fender flares and fell short of course. was thinking about taking aftermarket flares from a ford f-150 or something but thought this would be fine.
