Actually when the boogie man is in the back seat the last thing I want to do is stay in the car and drive! Sounds like you were a red shirt in a teen horror movie: "let's all go hide in that shed behind the chain saws!"

Is there some adjustment you can do so in the winter the heated seats come on along with the heat and in the summer the A/C comes on?

don't know about the heated seats but in summer just turn the a/c to wide open when you leave the car and before you come back out restart and it should be at full tilt waiting for you.
