the D's chasis and layout, with 707HP? deathtrap.

I love the D. its solid. it handles almost like a car. its an extremely well put together vehicle that happens to be a 3 row, 7 seater SUV. that looks badass.

I like the D.

but 707HP is a monumental number. its a challenge for the Charger and Challenger to even use that power. read all the reviews. the 275mm tires can't even put all that to the pavement.

now take that and put it in a 5,000 lb+ vehicle with the higher center of gravity that the D has? no way.

a JGC SRT Hellcat with mandatory AWD... maybe. just maybe.

but not a Durango Hellcat. it just wouldn't work.

as much as I would LIKE it to.
Are you not aware a JGC and a Durango are the same vehicle? It would be possible no problem. You are right to say it won't be made tho, becuase if the hellcat engine is put in any suv, its the JGC.

Its funny I see more JGC srt8s than Durango's lol
They really don't sell super well compared to JGC

Right, my point exactly. To handle speed and improve cornering, mods would be required.

Ya MJ, wondering when those pics would show up. I can't remember but were you still on the stock springs during your autoX stint?

I'm curious about your suspension mods also.

Thekoning, yes the D rides on a stretched version of the JGC chassis. understand, I LOVE my D. it rides and handles like a car. I drove a '01 Intrepid R/T back when a 3.5L HO was big news in a car.

but the D, as is (even in R/T trim), just couldn't handle 707HP. the Challenger and the Charger chassis' are having a hard time handling the supercharged 707HP. all the reviews agree the 275 series tires in a RWD layout just can't hold that.

I'm not even sure a JGC could handle it. with mandatory AWD like in the current SRT JGC, maybe.

and yes the D probably does ride better than the JGC with its longer wheelbase. I wasn't discussing ride quality. I was discussing be able to handle the 707HP. and in the D, with its long wheelbase and high center of gravity, I just don't see how you do it -without Major modifications- and it be anywhere near safe.

I'd love for them to do it. and I would buy one. and I would wrap up the two red key fobs and put them in the back of my dresser drawer and I would only drive with the black key fob. and I'd have a *&%^$#@! blast doing it with *only* 500HP and I would take all my friends out on joy rides and I would brag about how only Dodge had the cajones to make a vehicle like this. and I would then go home at night and sleep soundly knowing that the 4 kids upstairs will grow up with a dad.

The JGC runs 295 tires by default btw. The Durango HANDLES, not rides better then the JGC. The JGC rides better for the most part due to the different suspension parts. If you ever looked at the reviews of the Durango that compared it to the regular JGC, you will see that most if not all say that the Durango handles way better, skidpad numbers etc. This makes the Base Durango a better Base to modify, then say the JGC to handle all this power.

You're right. I need my specs cleaned. :-) The exact quote was, "The Cherokee Hellcat project – codenamed “Trackhawk” (which is now trademarked by Chrysler) . . ."
I got totally confused; thank you for the lesson.

No worries we all need are specs cleaned every once in a while. Drive your D like MJ use to and you won't be wearing anything on your face. hehe
Got to get someone else to pull some Gs in a D.
