I am sure there is a thread out there on it but what is story on Durango being discontinued. I am interested in buying a new 15 RT in next 5 months but hesitant because if they discontinue the resale will drop significantly and I usually don't keep cars longer than 5 years. thoughts?

 

Nothing but a rumor with nothing to support it. It is currently listed as part of dodges 5 year plan I believe.

Yeah, its still on their 5 year plan. Theres plans to share the platform and bring a similar model to Jeep. Durango still sells well. Dodge has had an SUV since the 70s, Durango since 94, theyve always had an SUV as long as theres been SUVs, eveyone else has an SUV. Dont think the Durango is gong anywhere soon.

Unlees theyve decided to abruptly throw their plans out the window.

 

Uh, the current Grand Cherokee shares the same platform as the Durango and sells better.

Uh, the Durango was discontinued in 2008 and not sold again until the 2011 model year.
