2014+ grill emblem removal revealed
Added this on other forum, figured I would add on here too.
Hey Guys
***Starting a new thread on this as its a very common asked topic***
So was going to give the Emblem install a shot tonight and after all the talk about it, the back of the 14+ emblem is actually part of the grille itself, not like the 11-13. The emblem I purcased from srtbadges.com is also the one with the screws on with a bracket in the back.
Thoughts
1 - The way the letters are the bracket attached to it is at an angle, so difficult to get a good spot in that right corner to add it between grill openings to get the badge level
2 - Anyone "Steve", how the heck did you bolt it on when you did yours, did you remove grille, please advise
So really disappointed how the grille emblem is so different than previous years, but looks like the emblem with the adhesive back is going to be the best option. I may have to mod this one and remove screws.
Also to take it off, I grabbed from the left hand side as you are facing it and moved it side to side while pulling it forward, and it pops off in three places, middle piece snapped off but left badge intact.
Here is how grill looks with it off
