Mehhh....it's a little too involved for me. Gotta buy this and that and then it could still brick the stereo. Thought this was a free upgrade. I'm sure I can go to the dealer and get them to do the update under warranty.
Nothing to buy unless you need blank DVD media. Files are online for free download.
I have the install files for 8.5.01, 10.00.11, 33.01.23, and 50.00.07 (to use on 430 RBZ, but I think they work on the RBH too), for anyone that wants them. Just shoot me a PM and I'll send you the direct link to my OneDrive.

For the Diablo guys, if I'm going to have my dealer check to see if there's a radio update available, should I switch my tune back?
I would. Just play it safe. Technically a radio update won't mess with the PCM, BUT if they decide to check for any other updates while its in there and flash your PCM, you'll be calling diablo to get your tuner reset.
I always de-tune taking it back to the dealer. Save your last tune written so that you can flash it back without going through all the tweaking again.
And to get back to the thread, I did the update the last night. Loving it so far. I downloaded the file directly from here:
Your instructions and downloads are about half way down the page under MyGig Updates. The trick is to use the Express Burn software to burn the iso files on to your disc's. You can't just move them to the disc as a file, they need to be burned in iso format! The page I linked above has a link for Express Burn as well...it's a free trial and completely safe. I just went through this last weekend and had no problems!
Also, if it isn't clear, be sure to burn the iso's on 2 different discs and label them. You must update the radio in steps! You can't just update to the latest software, it will brick your system!

Yeah, you can use a USB drive but you need to find a program that will burn the iso's to the USB device, just moving them to the USB wont work. I tried with Express Burn and it wouldn't do it.
If you find a program to burn them to the USB drive...make sure you put them on separate drives!
[QUOTE=2011CrewLuxSC;3228567]for anyone who's D is 2011-2013, I just updated to the 50.00.07 firmware and HOLY. COW. . .
the EQ is totally different . . . no dropping the Mid all the way down just to clean up the sound.
I knew the v50.00.07 would turn the screen background black . . . I decided to do them today. my RHB was on v23.xx.xx when I started so I installed the 33.01.23 and then installed the 50.00.07. . . . worked on the EQ coding
I have no freakin' idea what you guys are talking about, here. :-)
