If you find a program to burn them to the USB drive...make sure you put them on separate drives!

I didn't try this but here is something that might work...http://www.isotousb.com/
So I used the Free Software and got the ISO files onto my Desktop. I copied them to a DVD-R and then to a USB. Tried putting them both in the car and nothing happened.
The radio didn't recognize either....not sure how to "activate" the update.

Do I need a CD-R ?....the ISO file was 2GB, can a CD-R handle that size ?

I used CD-R and they worked fine...I did read somewhere that DVD-R's may not work right.

Once the system recognizes the disc, the update will run automatically. All you have to do is press YES to update HDD and YES to go from xx.xx.xx to the next version.

I knew the v50.00.07 would turn the screen background black . . . I decided to do them today. my RHB was on v23.xx.xx when I started so I installed the 33.01.23 and then installed the 50.00.07. . . . worked on the EQ coding

I have no freakin' idea what you guys are talking about, here. :-)

LOL. which part? the trick of taking the Mid EQ all the way down on the old software on the 430/430N and it makes the stock Alpine system sound so much better?

or the different firmware updates for the 430/430N. which is a separate unit from the 730N.

Just tonight I used the .iso files that were graciously provided by 03neonRT burned to CD-R discs using ImgBurn. I updated to 33.01.23 and then followed that up with 50.00.07 and had no issues. It doesn't even appear to have changed my radio station memories.

Same here, I didn't lose any presets or any music on the HDD after the update. Burning the discs was probably the hardest thing to it...LOL!
