Default Black SRT Wheels

I've been looking for a set of black wheels for my 2013 R/T. I didn't like any of the wheel offerings at Discount Tire or Tire Rack, so I searched this forum. Many threads on wheels, with most liking the SRT reps and the Viper reps with the nod going to the Vipers. I drive a lot of roads with potholes in the winter going skiing and dirt roads in the summer going camping, so wanted to stick with the higher sidewalls on the 20 inch wheels instead of upgrading to 22s. So, I called the distributor for the Viper wheels and was informed that the black 20 inch were on back order and they couldn't give me a date, but it would be a couple months. So, I ordered my second choice which were the SRTs.

Three days later, my wheels show up and off to Discount Tire to get them mounted. I've done a lot of business with this particular store, so was surprised when the counter guy gave me some attitude for not buying the wheels through them. Then he told me the 34 offset was going to be an issue as Dodge recommends a 40 offset on a 20x9 wheel. I told him they'd fit, but have his guys check before fully mounting them. While the shop was working on my car, I checked the Discount Tire website and found several wheels they recommended for my vehicle with a 25mm offset…they'd stick out even more than the SRTs. I showed the counter guy and it was still a lot of attitude.

Anyway, wheels mounted up fine. The smaller offset gave the car a more aggressive stance like adding 3/4 wheel spacers. No interference problems and the car drives great. I've attached a picture below, but it's been raining here. I'll add another picture and update my auto signature pic once it quits raining and I can wash the car:

From Factory Reproductions, they were $199 plus $80 for shipping. After I bought them, I found the same wheels on eBay for $739 for a new set of 4 and that included shipping.

Great choice! I'm probably going to do the same style in chrome in the spring.

OK, finally got the D washed and snapped a couple new pics. Tim Dogg, I've seen pics on this forum of a red Durango with chrome SRT's. They look awesome! I went for black because I liked the black top package offered by Dodge, but got my car on an invoice closeout, so didn't get a choice on options. Apparently, I've reached my maximum storage for pictures posted, but did add a new picture to my signature.

Nice looking truck. The offset really changes the stance on these trucks
