Default Inexpensive MODS

So, the time is here. I am picking up my 15 RT tomorrow. I am leasing with possibility of buying after lease. What cheap mods can I make to increase performance and/or looks that is cheap but won't ruin lease contract?

Welcome! Add headers, 392 cam, large TB, 4.11:1 gears! No, wait, those won't work for you. The only "cheap" mod which is worth any 'real' power is a tune. Have an InTune on my leased 2012, well worth it IMO.

I've changed to a 180 thermostat, cut out the suitcase muffler and replaced it with an x-pipe, installed an AFE CAI, added a billet tech catch can, and ordered a Diablo intune from Hemi Fever. The tuner is easy and if you have to go to the dealer you can flash back to the old tune. This stuff really woke the engine up and I love driving the D now!

Tuner is the best bang for the buck mod you can do.

For a performance mod, I guess the $449 Diablo Sport tune would be considered "cheap." But those of us who have to share the check book with a spouse $449 would entail: A) one hell of an excuse, B) letting the mother-in-law stay for six weeks, or C) cut the kids' lunch money. I vote for "A" because "B" or "C" would lead to death or starvation and I'm not cruel, just selfish. :-)

True, but everything is relative. There is no such thing as a truly "cheap" performance mod. Unless you want junk that does nothing like an intake spacer, the cheapest decent mods that will add any actual performance are over $200 and most are over $350. I'd love to do headers with full exhaust and a super charger, maybe even get the SRT or hell cat enigine. I'll never have those funds, but they are "performance mods".

just like any vehicle, if you are looking for your beginner mods, best ones are:
air intake system (not just a filter)
Cat back exhaust (not just mufflers)
Tuning
or just upgrade the radio, put the windows down and enjoy the ride

H-Pipe. It may improve mpgs slightly also
