Port the Sub !

Here's a picture with the carpet floor off. It's rough, but it's rigid. I used small angle brackets and black caulk that sealed and hardened it. I'll trim it and paint it all flat black.
I haven't finished it.....either the Alpine Grill....or the Sub Port. But after tons of sound tests, the best is with the port through the floor. I may buy a waffle type grill and use that.
The port is gray 2" elbow conduit, that's about 6". It didn't seem to make much difference going from 1.5" to 2". Getting it ported made the great improvement in sound.
I'll post pics when I have it completed.

After reading through this, I just realized I am getting old. And none of this is making any sense to me. I think back on all the vehicles I have owned, none of them had a sound system as good as you guys are making yours. Good performance with great sound, the best of both worlds.
